How was I selected for the AIST team?

There are a few ways you can get selected for our teams. We are always looking to find good people to represent our program as well as the USA. We have several recruiters throughout the country that will nominate players that are top athletes.  We find many of our athletes online based on stats posted by the governing body such as NCAA or NAIA.   Collegiate and high school coaches will also recommend players for our program. For our select teams we want to put the best team on the field but we also strive to represent the USA with class and honor.  You may have seen AIST recruiters at try-out events, showcase tournaments or other large team tournaments as well.

Have you been selected?

Chances are if you are reading this section you have been selected to join one of our elite teams traveling abroad to participate in a tournament or sports tour. AIST receives invitations from tournaments around the world in many different sports. It is our goal to find athletes who have the desire to broaden their knowledge of sports and the world around them while improving their skill levels in an international setting. Touring with a sports group gives you the authentic lifestyles of many different cultures by getting you away from the tourist traps. By competing against international competition you get an authentic feel of the culture and lifestyles of the area you travel. It is a great experience to play against teams who enjoy the opportunity to compete against the USA and then enjoy a social setting that brings together so many different cultures. Bringing teams together from many different countries is a unique setting for learning about the world around you. Continue reading
