AIST High School Select Team Invitations:Team AIST

Congratulations on being selected to represent the USA in one of our select team events. You have the opportunity to showcase your abilities and experience some amazing places while competing on the international stage. Below you will see the opportunities available for you.  Please review the tour options and if you are interested in joining, fill out the Player Profile included below. Depending on your skill level and accomplishments you may be selected to play abroad on one of our select teams! Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the options available for you.

To view the full invitation link you must use the password from your invitation.  If you did not receive an invitation you may fill out the Player Profile form to be considered for one of our select teams.   If AIST is able to confirm your position you will have 2-3 weeks to pay your deposit. If you need more time you will need to contact your AIST representative for Basketball to ask for an extension.

Gary Haarmann was responsible for building the foundation of AIST. He has helped AIST to reach new heights and continues to be a great asset to the organization. As Vice President he provides great leadership on tours and helping to manage the details of each trip. He is a full time employee at AIST and responsible for the majority of our recruiting and organizing of teams and administrating tours in progress.

Gary has been involved with international touring, playing and coaching since 1996. Gary has resigned from coaching collegiate baseball because of the continued growth of AIST. Gary was the former head baseball coach at Longview Community College in Lee’s Summit. He has been actively recruiting, coaching and administrating tours in Western Europe since 2002. His hands-on experience abroad will help to ensure quality tours and tournaments for all AIST teams.

Gary graduated from Avila University in 1995 with a degree in communications. He was has been nominated to the Avila Hall-of-Fame for his outstanding play for four years in the outfield. After graduating, Gary stayed on at Avila as an assistant baseball coach for 5 years before pursing a head coaching job. After coaching at Longview Jr. College for 4 years he took a couple years off from coaching. He now is a part-time baseball coach at Rockhurst University.

Jennifer traveled with AIST in 2012 to Prague as a player. She accepted her first coaching job for our U19 High School program for 2015 traveling to the Dominican Republic. She will be recruiting talented high school athletes around the country to travel on AIST select teams.

Jenny played on the AIST 2012 Softball Prague Tour and won a championship and quotes “I’m am honored to join the staff of a solid company that left an unforgettable experience on my life.” Jenny also played 4 years at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire as an outfielder and second baseman. While there she was two time WIAC Champions, made 3 WIAC tournament appearances, and 3 NCAA Division III Regional appearances. Jenny was named a captain of her team and was selected to the All-Time All-WIAC team twice. After her playing career ended, she accepted an assistant coaching position at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Jenny is 3rd in school history for most stolen bases (62), 8th in school history on stolen base percentage (62-72), 7th in school history for most runs scored (111), and 6th in school history for most sacrifice hits (31). She was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll 4 years in a row and a two year NFCA Scholar Athlete. She enjoys volunteering for local youth softball programs and many clinics. She earned her bachelors degree in Kinesiology-Human Performance with a pre-professional emphasis.
